LAHORE: PML-N workers gathered outside the residence of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif in Jati Umrah, Raiwind and protested against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) announcement of the Raiwind march.
The workers vowed to protect the prime minister’s house against any advances by PTI chief Imran Khan and said they would never allow Imran Khan to march on the premier’s residence.
Donning head bands, the workers said they would stand guard outside the prime minister’s residence along with their children.
Female PML-N workers who joined in the protest chanted slogans in favour of PM Nawaz Sharif and Chief Minister Punjab Shehbaz Sharif and said Imran Khan’s announcement is mere bluff. Even if Imran Khan dared to march on the prime minister’s residence then they would be ready to protect their leader, they added.
Imran Khan on Tuesday had announced a march on Raiwind against the government on September 24.
Addressing a rally in Karachi he had said,“Inshallah, on September 24 I will bring people from across Pakistan to Raiwind.”
“I am inviting the entire nation to participate in the march,” he had added.
