KARACHI: Pakistan People’s Party chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari on Monday visited Shiv Mandir to attend Diwali celebrations and on the occasion said that alongside Muslims, minorities also have complete freedom of worship in Pakistan.
Talking to media outside Shiv Mandir after the celebrations, PPP chairman said that people of Pakistan are peaceful and democratic and won’t allow terrorists to succeed.
Bilawal said he had announced the biggest Diwali ceremony in Salam Shuhada rally but had to postpone it due to the police training college tragedy in Quetta.
He went on to criticise the government for manhandling protestors in Islamabad.
During his visit, Bilawal lauded the Hindu community in Pakistan and said that they have sent a good message celebrating Diwali with simplicity.
