Asif says COAS’ proclamation on India reflects govt policy

KARACHI: Defense Minister Khawaja Asif has said that the statement by the army chief reflects government’s policy on India and that talks between the two countries are not possible under present circumstances.

Speaking to the anchorperson in Geo News program ‘Aaj Shahzeb Khanzada Kay Sath’, Asif said: “As long as Indian atrocities are continued in occupied Kashmir and Narendra Modi is in power in India, a conducive atmosphere for talks between the two states cannot be developed.”

Earlier on Thursday, Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif said that be it Narendra Modi, RAW or anyone else, Pakistan understands the ploys of enemies.
